2. Description of Service

OpCalc is a free financial modeling tool that generates theoretical estimates of options profit and loss using the Black-Scholes pricing model. It is provided for educational and informational purposes only.

3. Not Financial Advice

Nothing on OpCalc constitutes financial advice, investment advice, trading advice, or any recommendation to buy or sell any security. OpCalc is not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, or financial planner.

All values shown are theoretical estimates based on mathematical models. Actual trading results will differ materially due to market conditions, liquidity, transaction costs, and other factors not captured by the model.

4. Risk Disclosure

Options trading involves substantial risk of loss and is not appropriate for all investors. You can lose the entire amount invested in an options position. Before trading options, carefully consider your experience, financial objectives, and risk tolerance. Past model outputs are not indicative of future trading results.

5. Data Accuracy

Stock price data is provided by Finnhub and may be delayed by approximately 15 minutes. Options chain prices are theoretical estimates generated by the Black-Scholes model and are not live market quotes. Delayed or estimated data is not suitable for active trading decisions.

6. Eligibility

OpCalc is intended for users aged 18 and older. By using this site you represent that you are of legal age to trade options in your jurisdiction.

7. Permitted Use

You may use OpCalc for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not reproduce, redistribute, scrape, or systematically extract content or data from OpCalc without written permission. Automated access to the site is prohibited.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, OpCalc and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or reliance on this site, including but not limited to trading losses, loss of profits, or loss of data. Your use of this site is entirely at your own risk.

9. Third-Party Services

OpCalc uses third-party services including Finnhub (market data) and Google Analytics (usage analytics). These services operate under their own terms and privacy policies. OpCalc is not responsible for the accuracy, availability, or practices of third-party services.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms at any time. The current version is always available at opcalc.app/terms. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from use of this site shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the applicable courts of the United States.
