How the Custom Builder Works
The custom strategy builder lets you construct any multi-leg options position by clicking directly on the options chain. Each click cycles through three states: buy, sell, remove. You can mix calls and puts, different strikes, and different quantities — up to 8 legs total.
The P/L chart updates in real time as you add or modify legs.
Common Multi-Leg Strategies
Iron Condor (4 legs): Sell an OTM call and put, buy a further OTM call and put. Profits when the stock stays in a range.
Straddle (2 legs): Buy a call and put at the same strike. Profits from big moves in either direction.
Butterfly (3 legs): Buy one lower call, sell two middle calls, buy one upper call. Profits when the stock finishes near the middle strike.
